Info Shymkent - A Soyuz is preparing for launch in Cosmodrome Baikonur

The first real spaceport was opened in 1955 with the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Over the last decades the number of spaceports has increased around the world up to 20 gateways to space.
